In the picture with both machines, you see the Ten Strike from 1948 on the left. This machine has backglass animation. After each shot, a ball rolls over a bowling alley on the glass and hits the pins. With this Ten Strike, if you hit all the pins with 1 ball, you score an extra 2000 points. All the pins down with 2 balls, is an extra 1000 points.
With the other Ten Strike from 1945, you get 2 extra balls with each strike and 1 extra ball with each spare.
